Role Summary

The UI/UX Developer will be tasked with transforming professional design files (Figma, Sketch) into clean, responsive, and easily maintainable production front-end code. You will engage proactively with backend engineers to integrate APIs efficiently and ensure the user interface achieves optimal performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across all necessary devices and browsers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately translate high-fidelity design prototypes (from Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD) into semantic HTML, well-structured CSS, and modern JavaScript.
  • Implement fully responsive and mobile-first designs, leveraging expert knowledge of utility-first frameworks like Tailwind CSS, or established systems like Bootstrap.
  • Collaborate closely with backend teams to consume RESTful APIs efficiently and aggressively optimize the render pipeline for fast page loads and minimal latency.
  • Ensure complete cross-browser compatibility and strict Section 508 / WCAG accessibility compliance across all user-facing components.
  • Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of a central component library and associated design system documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven professional experience in UI/UX development and production front-end architecture.
  • Expertise in professional design tools, specifically Figma, for specification extraction and asset management.
  • Strong proficiency and a deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 semantics, and advanced CSS3 features.
  • Deep knowledge of CSS utility frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS) or component libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, Material UI).
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing front-end performance, specifically targeting bundle size reduction, efficient image loading, and optimal asset delivery.

Preferred Skills

  • Practical experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Svelte).
  • Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) to enhance SEO and initial load performance.
  • Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Vuex, Zustand).
  • A strong, professional portfolio showcasing complex, well-engineered, and responsive UI implementations.
