Role Summary
The Code Audit Intern will execute a critical review of our front-end and supporting infrastructure code. This role's primary goal is to improve long-term maintainability, accelerate the onboarding process for new developers, and identify tactical opportunities for code optimization and cleanup.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis and formal documentation of various code files (CSS, JavaScript, HTML templates, configuration files, assets).
- Map complex file dependencies and create a comprehensive visual code index or system sitemap.
- Proactively identify instances of redundant, duplicated, or obsolete code and formally suggest targeted cleanup and refactoring tasks.
- Collaborate directly with senior developers to validate audit findings, execute documentation updates, and integrate improvements into the codebase.
Required Qualifications
- Solid foundational knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
- Strong analytical ability to quickly infer file purpose, trace dependency chains, and understand code structure.
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills, with a focus on producing clear, concise technical reports.
